Reciprocal Borrowing

As a member of the Consortium of Holston Associated Libraries Washington County Public Library has a reciprocal borrowing agreement with Emory & Henry College, Bluefield College, Appalachian School of Law, Tazewell Public Library, and King College. Washington County library card holders have access to members' holdings, with some restrictions. (Most libraries do not check out media to other Consortium members, for example.)

All Consortium members use Innovative Interfaces "Millenium" for cataloging and display of holdings. The default setting for searching (the scope) of each library reveals the items available at that location.

To view all holdings swith to "View All Locations" as illustrated below:

Be advised to check on availability before going to the library in question.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan is a service that makes it possible for library users to obtain materials that are not locally available from libraries within our region, across the state and throughout the country. Patrons can request books, photocopies of journal articles, microfiche and microfilm. A valid library card is required. For more information see our ILL Fact Sheet.
